Two Peas In A Pod

The day I found out I was having twins was truly one of the happiest days of my life! We had been struggling with infertility for a long time and had recently suffered through an ectopic pregnancy. Having twins was a huge answer to prayer.

Watching my babies interact with each other was absolutely beautiful. They were instantly bonded in a way that only twins can be. I will never forget the moment during our 20 week ultrasound when Wyatt was kicking around like a crazy man and Olivia reached through and put her little hand on his leg like she was telling him to calm down. That moment was a perfect picture of their relationship.

Wyatt has always been our wild boy with the big heart. And Olivia was our calm. There was something about her that was so peaceful it could almost bring you to your knees. She had a way of looking deep inside of you and the world would just stop. You had to be still to really take her in.

It’s hard to believe that we will be celebrating our fourth birthday since Olivia went to heaven. Wyatt will be 5 on February 19th while Olivia remains forever 20 months and 3 days old. I wish so much that I could see them together and be a witness of the beautiful relationship that would certainly exist. They were always two little peas in a pod.

Olivia Caldwell Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit that raises money for pediatric cancer research in memory of Olivia Caldwell, who passed away from brain cancer at 20 months old. The Caldwell family is asking that everyone who can donates $5 in honor of what would have been Olivia’s 5th birthday during the month of February. You can donate anytime by clicking on this link.
